Gate Control Methods
Our access control systems at EstateGuard Gates offer flexibility, reliability and enhanced security. You can choose between two closure sequences: Step-by-Step, where one trigger opens the gate and a second closes it; or Automatic Closure, where the gate opens, pauses, and closes without additional input—ideal for most installations. These methods ensure smooth operation whether the gate is controlled manually or via automated devices. Visit our gallery to learn more about our services and delivery options.
Radio Fobs
All gates include a built-in radio receiver triggered by fobs, typically up to 50m away. Standard fobs have two buttons, with optional four-button fobs that can control up to four separate gates. Each button is individually registered for added flexibility and convenience. Advanced rolling-code technology protects against signal scamming or cloning, ensuring secure and dependable access.

Keypads & Intercom Systems
Keypads are hard-wired to the control panel and can be mounted on the gate or a nearby post for easy vehicle access. Codes can be changed at any time, with options for single or multiple codes—ideal for granting temporary access to casual workers.
GSM intercoms utilise mobile technology to call landlines or mobile phones, with up to two divert numbers in case of an unanswered call. Callers can remotely open the gate by dialling 11 on their phone. Two security levels are available: Standard, where any phone can trigger the gate, and Higher, where only registered numbers are authorised. Multi-button intercoms support multiple properties, and digital units offer up to 100 destinations. GSM relay units offer an additional remote-trigger capability, enabling registered users to dial in and activate the gate.
Road Sensors & Timer Modules
Road sensors generate an electromagnetic field that detects vehicles containing iron, automatically triggering the gate to open. They can be linked to timer modules to disable operation outside working hours. Two sensor types are available: a simple buried probe and an inductive loop cut into the roadway—similar to traffic light systems—offering adjustable sensitivity and preventing barriers from closing onto vehicles. Timer modules allow gates and sensors to open, close, enable or disable at scheduled times, with custom settings available for each day of the week.
